Scott Wiley recently purchased Apple Creek Gallery, Inc. from Tom Benda in an asset sale brokered by The Jennessey Group, LLC. Wiley, formerly the assistant manager of Linn Photo west, Cedar Rapids, will become general manager of the gallery. At 19 years old, Apple Creek Gallery is one of the oldest galleries in town, with a reputation for quality framing, artwork, and service.

Wireless One

Ricky Bunney purchased Wireless One. There are 5 different store locations, including 3 in Cedar Rapids, 1 in Coralville, and 1 in Iowa City. Wireless One is a cellular retail store.

Advanced Manufacturing

Phil Martin purchased Advanced Manufacturing, Inc., located at 740 66th Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA. The contract CNC machine shop specializes in precision-crafted, custom-designed parts with fast turn around and delivery. Martin, a Cedar Rapids native, was formerly the Operations Manager for North America for Orbotech, Inc.

Video Game Depot

Kevin Matt, of Cedar Rapids recently purchased Video Game Depot from Travis Krousie and Jeff Parkin in an asset sale purchase brokered by The Jennessey Group, LLC. At 14 years old, Video Game Depot is the oldest game store in town, with a reputation for being cutting edge in the industry by bringing the international gaming culture to Cedar Rapids. Quality service and vast industry knowledge play a major role in the success of this tenured business. Mr. Matt also currently owns Battlezone Games in Hiawatha.

Marion Laundromat

Joni and Mike Sojka, of North Liberty recently purchased the Marion Laundromat from Brad Miller in an asset sale purchase brokered by The Jennessey Group, LLC. The coin operated laundromat was originally located in the Armar Plaza area and moved in 2002 to its current location on 7th Avenue in Marion. The clean and efficient atmosphere of the Marion Laundromat has been a staple in the Marion business community.

Jay and Debe Evers, of Manchester, recently purchased Protective Coatings, Inc from James Riensche, in an asset sale brokered by The Jennessey Group, LLC. Protective Coatings, Inc has provided powder coating services since 1994, for OEM Equipment and various other industries.

Petland of Iowa City

Ron and Wendy Solsrud, of Cedar Rapids, recently purchased Petland of Iowa City from Thomas and Janice Roffman, in an asset sale brokered by The Jennessey Group, LLC. Petland has been in business since 2002, specializing in the sale of high quality live pets and pet supplies.

Paul Revere's Pizza of Iowa City

Dennis and Christine Newell, of Solon, recently purchased Paul Revere's Pizza, Iowa City from Bret Wiederin, in an asset sale brokered by The Jennessey Group, LLC. The business has been in operation since 1975. Paul Revere's Pizza is a delivery and eat in pizza restaurant, serving the University of Iowa campus and surrounding neighborhoods.

There are drop off locations in all area Hy-Vee Drugstores, Nature's Way Cleaners, as well as the Central Market located in the downtown Cedar Rapids area.

Jake's Steaks

Corrina and Sam Guy, of Cedar Rapids, recently purchased Jake's Steaks from Al Brown and Paula Freeman-Brown, of Center Point, in an asset sale brokered by The Jennessey Group, LLC. Jake's Steak is a full service restaurant and bar located in Walker, Iowa. The restaurant features a "cook your own" grill.

Simpson Security Services

Jerry Fannon, of Iowa City, recently purchased Simpson Security Services, Iowa City, from Bill & Lynette Simpson in an asset sale brokered by The Jennessey Group, LLC. Cedar Brewing Company

David Carey, of Cedar Rapids, recently purchased Cedar Brewing Company from Lori & Tom Janusz in an asset sale brokered by The Jennessey Group, LLC. Cedar Brewing Company is a popular local restaurant/sports bar & brewery.

BP on First
